Shri Vineet Joshi assumed charge as Secretary, Department of Higher Education in Shastri Bhawan, New Delhi. Following his assumption of office, Shri Joshi interacted with senior officials of the Ministry.
Shri Joshi, a 1992-batch IAS officer, he has also served as the Chief Secretary of Manipur. He has held several prominent positions in the education sector, including Director-General of the National Testing Agency (NTA), Chairman of the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), and Additional Secretary in the Ministry of Education, among others.
He also look after the Institutes of Eminence (IoE), and Higher Education Funding Agency (HEFA), among other verticals of higher education.
Shri. Vineet Joshi holds B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering from IIT Kanpur, MBA from the Indian Institute of Foreign Trade, New Delhi. Having numerous training modules and research papers to his credit, the new Chairman is credited with an extensive experience and professionalism.
