Lucknow: In a big achievement for the 102-year-old Lucknow University, it has received an A++ rating from NAAC under the direction of Governor Anandiben Patel, Chancellor of State Universities of Uttar Pradesh.
In doing so, the university has become the first educational institute in Uttar Pradesh to get a NAAC A rating.
A NAAC A++ rating is the highest rating that can be conferred upon a university. The university was evaluated on various points by NAAC and accredited with a CGPA of 3.55 on a seven-point scale.
The NAAC rating will now stand for a period of five years from July 26, 2022, onwards after which it will need to be re-evaluated again.
Governor Anandi Ben Patel congratulated the university family and the people of the state. The governor said that this achievement was inspirational for other universities in Uttar Pradesh.
